The Most Expensive Non Running GTX Ever Sold!!
1968 Plymouth GTX, 426 Hemi, VIN RS23J8A276003 with Broadcast Sheet
1968 Plymouth GTX, 426 Hemi, 425 hp, in original condition, 2 DR. H/T, with 5,831 original miles. Body, interior and over structure of the car is excellent for one that has been sitting for 40 years. Believe me, once washed it will look incredibly nice. The paint is that good. This is a real survivor. We cannot at this point say whether or not the car is 100% i.e. matching numbers etc. We believe current gears are 4:56, however the original 3:23 gears are with the car. The transmission being original was called into question, but after further investigation we believe this car has the correct one. The motor may be seized, as we have not tried to turn it over. Car still has 1968 PA license plate and inspection on it. We’ve just uncovered the 1969 owners card with the 1969 tag sticker. You must rely totally on your knowledge and expertise in determining if this car is 100% or not. We will have the car elevated on jack stands for your inspection on auction day.
This car is being offered as is, where is and as existing, just as we’ve found it, without any guarantees or warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. Come see it, we just may have unearthed The Holy Grail. It's exciting to say the least. Car will be available for inspection from 10 AM – 2 PM Friday June 6, 2008.
